Patrick Cheong - Media Producer / Content Video Creator / Director / Illustration Artist / Educator
I have over 20 years of hands-on working experience for media production and video project management in both local and international TV broadcasting, video production and creative media companies based in Hong Kong. Thanks to my experience of video production, I have worked with several universities in Hong Kong, helping different academic faculties to develop and produce educational content videos for their online learning programmes in the recent years.
My aspiration of video production and motion graphic design keeps me growing, and has shaped my profession. As the producer and executive producer, having worked with different media firms for various scales of video or multimedia production projects along these years, each of these opportunities was a brand new and life-learning experience that continuously enriched and consolidated my practical working knowledge of the whole process of creative content development.

Creative media content for an educational purpose is also a major scope of my professional service. Having taken up a role of production manager / producer to provide creative solutions and production services, my contributions for several university in Hong Kong were to produce high quality of educational content videos and instructional design for their online courses.

I led my production team to implement the whole process, helping faculties for instructional design by conceptualising
and translating text-based theoretical teaching material into visual (video / graphical) form. Giving my learning insights towards each educational project, it was a great enjoyment to introduce the energetic and versatile entertaining elements into educational contents so as to enhance viewers’ learning engagement.

I believe creative content can be done greater than only for commercial purposes. Social media is my fondness. I have produced and launched few viral content series on Facebook, Youtube and Kickstarter to promote the stories about humanity and our society: the interview-based documentary series, adopting homeless dogs & cats series and my illustration story about mankind in self-awareness. These projects have received moderately positive support across social media. It has also been reported by few local newspapers.

As said, each of these practical working experiences and opportunities could strengthen my knowledge and profession, thus can help me contribute even greater to my next employer or clients.
